The Super Imaginative Chogokin premium line was introduced by Bandai at the end of 1998. These hyper detailed figures were actually styled after the characters seen in the manga and not the tv shows
(which were made for a more family friendly audience). About 3 months after their debut, Bandai commissioned the Artist Special Version editions of some of the earlier releases. These figures would only be
available in Japan. Here are Kikaider, Kikaider 00, and Bijinder.
