Ten Feet

The San Jose Buddhist Temple Betsuin held a benefit concert with the Hawaiian band Ten Feet to help fund upgrades to their classroom building. Back in 2019, they held a similar benefit concert with Kalapana. Dad was really looking forward to this concert as Ten Feet is one of his favorite contemporary Hawaiian bands. Unfortunately, about 3 or 4 days prior to the concert he came down with COVID. Jordyn was to go as well, and when they realized Dad wouldn't be able to attend they started asking around in the 11th hour if anyone else wanted to go. With little time before the concert they were unable to find someone to take Dad's place, so Jordyn went on her own. It wasn't too bad because their tickets were right next to Uncle Craig, so Jordyn sat next to him.

Having purchased the VIP tickets, Jordyn sat in the second row. She got some up close videos and pictures at the concert and then attended the post concert kanakapila at the Hukilau. Despite Dad not being able to attend, Jordyn said she had a really fun time. Aside from the great live music, they had a halau perform, and the post concert get-together at the Hukilau had Ten Feet perform an acoustic jam session with food and drink. Dad is still bummed he couldn't go, but he's super happy Jordyn enjoyed the experience.
